Since 2009, I have been teaching at the University of Groningen, in the Netherlands. I teach mainly Psychology courses, with an emphasis on Auditory Perception, Research Integrity, and Methodology.

My research focuses on understanding how speech perception is affected in less than optimal conditions, because of hearing impairment, ageing, communicating in a non-native language, or external noise.
Mindwise is the blog of the Psychology Department in Groningen. As editor-in-chief, I think of it as a lot more than just a blog. I think of it as an essential element in communicating the work we do to each other and to the public.
The Epicurean was a column I wrote for the newspaper of the University of Groningen. Three years and more than 70 recipes on one page.
